Noise protection

In architectural acoustics the most important field is the determination of sound insulation of building units. This may regularly be done by measurments or by calcluations. Knowledge of sound insulation characteristics of components are prerequisite for planning of suitable measures to the protection of rooms against noise. The aim is therefore sufficient reduction of noise intruding to a room from inside or outside the building.

The question of the sound protection should be already considered in the phase of planning. So the construction could be planned to be identical with the requests of the DIN 4109 and/or to the generally recognized rules of the technology.
