Blower Door

Measurements of air-tightness (n50-value) of a building as well as of local leakages in the building cover are carried out with the method of the Blower-Door. The method of the Blower-Door is a difference pressure procedure to determination of the air-tightness of a building. The procedure is determined in DIN EN 13829 and aims on the determination of the "air permeability" in the building shell. Therewith also the air change rate can be determined. Guidelines for the n50-value have been included since November 1967 of the DIN 4108 part 7. The energy saving regulation (Energieeinsparverordnungen (or “EnEV” for short)) valid since 2002 contain also limits of the n50-value.
From the association for air-tightness in buildings (Fachverband Luftdichtheit im Bauwesen e.V. – or "FLiB” for short)" we have been acquired the title of a "certified checker of air-tightness of buildings in the sense of energy saving regulation".
